From the above 2 newspaper clippings, I have found:

• • • 2 blocks locations, 1) Whiteman Block, 2) Nabors Block
    •  Direction of the Wind blowing Eastward Starting at the Barber Shop
    •  Barber W E. Hughes locality prior to 1890
    •  Watson and Lund Office locality prior to 1890
    • Location of the original PIONEER Store Lot 4 Block 7;  months later Lot 3 Block 8
    •  Charley Anshutz home in back of Peter Mackels Shoe Store 
    • Tackman location
    • Ah Nues Restaurant locality in Block 8
    •  White Oaks Club rooms in Block 8
    •  E. McB Timoney locality in Block 8 prior to 1890

Also, from the lack of mention of Peter Mackel from the White Oaks Newspapers, I can only imagine he left White Oaks, giving his competitor in the shoe and boot business Joseph Capuano a good shot in the arm.
