When Jefferson Raynolds was born on October 26, 1843, in Canton, Ohio, his father, James, was 35 and his mother, Sarah, was 28. He married Martha E. Cowan on May 16, 1872. They had three children during their marriage. Chartered the First National Bank 1882 • El Paso, El Paso, Texas, USA. Occupation: Founder of the First National Bank of El Paso and other southwestern banks including the Exchange Bank in White Oaks New Mexico in 1893. He died on September 19, 1921, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 77, and was buried in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
