Born on June 9, 1834 and died February 25, 1917. One of the children of Ebenezer Bull and Jane Pearsall, Charles served in the Civil War. Charles was unmarried but had a sweetheart named Nancy Reeve. Unfortunately, after a lover’s quarrel Nancy married someone else and moved west to Kansas. Charles was in the Civil War and afterwards went to White Oak, New Mexico where he was a peace officer in the Lincoln Co Wars and White Oaks Post Master in 1893 He came back to Orange County when he was an old man. When he died, there was found in his pocket a daguerreotype of Nancy Reeve that he had always carried. His death was recorded in the Town of Hamptonburgh, Orange , NY.
